Attorney Frank Carrillo graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida, in 1988. During his studies, he participated in numerous prestigious organizations, including the Honorary Society, Bar and Gravel, the Student Bar Association, where he served as a Senator representing his class, and the Hispanic American Law Student Association, where he served as a Director. He was also recognized in “Who’s Who among American Law Students.”

Dr. Carrillo was born in Camagüey, Cuba. He attended high school in Puerto Rico, and then in 1971, received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, specializing in Finance and Policy, with a minor in Accounting. Upon completion of his studies, Dr. Carrillo enlisted in the Florida National Guard, becoming the first Cuban-American officer in the Guard in 1973. At that time, the Guard was responsible for protecting not only the state of Florida but also the Caribbean, and Dr. Carrillo wanted to be ready for any situation involving his native Cuba.

Throughout his extensive professional career, Dr. Frank Carrillo has worked as an insurance agent, handling personal and commercial lines, and as a real estate agent for prominent companies such as Keyes Company and Riviera Realty, serving both residential and commercial markets. Since 1989, and during his years as a partner at Carrillo & Carrillo, P.A., he has handled Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Personal Injury, Real Estate, and Insurance claims matters. Dr. Carrillo has also worked on collection matters, residential foreclosure litigation, and various other types of real estate litigation, including eviction cases. He has personally handled hundreds of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases. As a real estate attorney, Dr. Carrillo also wrote title insurance policies for Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund.
